Anyway the first week of school has passed. Nothing interesting at allll except maybe for that first bio lesson and that i’m sick again (no surprise here). I slept at 6pm ytd and woke up at 4am today LOL. I then felt too sick to go for the flag day today sigh! I missed my first ever flag day

I’m coughing like shit now

I spent the whole day today literally doing absolutely NOTHING productive. I planned to finish my chinese compo today and practise piano. But i’m so sleeeeeeepy i want to sleep!

I’m still in my never ending holiday mood. YVIP was fun but it’s over. I have to wake up from this daydream.

Let’s face it – English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren’t invented in England or French fries in France . Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren’t sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don’t fing, grocers don’t groce and hammers don’t ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn’t the plural of booth, beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn’t it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn’t preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell?

How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which, an alarm goes off by going on.

English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all. That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

It has been raining everyday this week. Absolutely wonderful. I love the cool breeze and the smell of rain! I don’t even have to turn on the fan so it saves on electricity too!

My mum got me some lavendar smelling soap, shampoo and something else. And it comes with REAL roses. Awwww sweet smelling roses. Can’t wait to try out those soaps. Then i’ll smell like a FLOWER! AND ATTRACT BUTTERFLIES not bees. I don’t wanna attract bees. Not pretty when you’re stung. Heheheh guess what show i’m thinking of? HUANG ZHU GE GE!! I used to love that show when i was a little kid. I absolutely adored the girl in white who always attract butterflies hehehe i remember twirling and twirling and acting like her.

Anyway, baking with Nicole, Sylvia, Sab & Lynette on Tues. We came up with our own brownie recipe! And guess what? This brownie recipe originated from a chocolate banana muffin recipe! Are we cool or what! >:D

I don’t have the pictures of our yummy brownie covered in delectable sauce with a very fancy name which i have forgotten (honestly, i never knew the name of it…)

Next! Cousin’s wedding in KL. This event was a nice compromise between extreme boredom & extreme fun. Tea ceremony on wed and then wedding dinner on friday night.

I love wednesday when my cousin had to do all sorts of tasks to get the bride’s sister to allow him into the room and see the bride!! Tasks include singing, dancing in heels and a funny flora top, listing out names he would call his wife etc etc. Everyone couldn’t contain their mirth when we saw our cousin walking (ok more like staggering) around in heels hehehehhehehehe

The recent Sunday and Monday was horribly unproductive. Today was well okok lah hahahaha

Shall go get my dinner then i’ll complete my LA summary and jianbao!

Back from my night spent over at my cousin’s!

Hahaha i went with her to her little work gathering. I don’t know why she asked me to go or why i went. BUT it was pretty amusing to watch them play.

They’re just like my friends with i, just that they are able to drink alcohol…

HAHA they played many games that i want to play next time. Like chubby bunnies.

You have to stuff one marsh mallow at a time and shout “ONE CHUBBY BUNNY!” and you keep taking turns to do it.  After everyone has had a round. You stuff another marshmallow into your mouth (WITHOUT BITING/CHEWING) and shout, “TWO CHUBBY BUNNIES!”

And well you just continue this until your cheeks are filled with marshmallow. You will lose when you can’t stuff anymore marshmallows into your mouth or when you can’t shout.

It was hilarious to see grown men and women stuffing themselves with marshmallows and all their cheeks are popping out lololol!!!!

Oh and they played zhoujimima too. The forfeit was to drink some mixture of alcohol like vodka or tequila. I couldn’t play obviously…. not that i wanted to in the first place.

It was funny how the same few people kept “zong”ing lolol. And how some never ever do.

And they sabotage ppl too.

Anyway reached my cousin’s place at 1am++. Slept till 1am the next day heheheheh had lunch/dinner and here i am!!

It’s only 7pm but it’s so dark already! TOTALLY BLACK. I think it’s raining. Oh yeah it is. hahahah i saw the luminous dark clouds just now and heard the cracking of THUNDER it’s was so loud!!!!!

Okay shall do math now. Maybe.
